1. LET'S WINE

If you are fortunate enough to live in proximity to wineries, these are always a winning

choice to explore, walk the grounds, do tastings, soak-in some nature and fresh air.

Maybe there are some at a driving distance? A wine tour?

If you are less fortunate, you can hit the local wine shops where they offer wine samples, or look for bars that have wine tasting.

Not into wine? You can replace this with beer!  There are tons of breweries popping up all over the country. You could also head to a bar that offers flights of beers.

2. OFFICIAL LAUGH

Look-up which comedians are performing at a near comedy club and pick an act, even if it's completely random. Laughing is good for the soul and gets people connected.

If no good acts are happening in your area, search Netflicks for top comedians and watch 1 or 2 shows at home, and grab a drink. We did that on New Year's Eve and it was a great date night!

3. LET'S ROOM

38. FEEL THE BEAT

Take your own or rent some bikes and get pedaling. You'll get some fresh air exercising together. You can find some spots to relax along the way or have a coffee, and enjoy each other’s company. Ride through the prettiest parts of your town and explore. Bonus points if you can get your hands on a tandem bicycle.

45. DOLLAR DATE CHALLENGE

The rules are simple. Create a small budget of at least $10 each, and then you set up a certain amount of time for you each to run around the Dollar store separately in search of quirky fun little gifts that remind you of each other. You can be a little imaginative here. When time is up, you each check out independently without peeking at each other's goodies. After a nice supper, reveal each item one at a time, and explain why you chose that item for your partner. It's a cute idea and budget-friendly!

46. LET IT SLIDE

47. LOCAL SUPPORT

It's pretty much a guarantee that you'll find a local play, poetry reading, dance troupe, or other public events to attend—and it's supporting local culture, even if it doesn't end up being your cup of tea.  Or attend an improv event. Look online or the local newsletter, pick and go!

50. DREAM THE DREAM

Even if you can't afford it at the moment, it's fun to look at paradise pictures, exotic beaches together. Take some time to research your dream vacation, discuss it, and establish where you would go, where you’d stay and all the activities you’d do.  Look into accommodation options, find cool spots and restaurants, and bookmark it all so you can officially make it happen in the (hopefully) near future.

51. TAKE A HIKE

52. DIRTY DANCING (minus the dirty part)

Try a dance class together and share a laugh (Ballroom dancing?). Doing something new will bring fresh energy to your relationship, and you’ll get to see a different side of each other. Even if your partner has two left feet, learning a new skill will bond you closer together. Top it up with a bite to eat afterward? It’s a very romantic activity and a decent workout as well.

53. NEW-GAMES NIGHT

Go buy a few new games at the store and have a "new-games" night! One of those games could be a childhood classic game like Trouble, Battleship, Mastermind, Uno, etc... but the others should be unknown. You'll get to spend some time researching them at the store, asking employees for opinions, etc... Then later on, you will get to read the rules and discover them together. That will also give you more game options for your next game nights!

Scope local real estate listings for open houses, even if you have zero plans to buy a home. Get some decor ideas, discuss what you like and don't like, it might be useful later on! We often did that in brand new home developments, it's more interesting than you might think. If it's an already occupied home, add the voyeurism thrill and the critical discussion to the experience!

55. RETRO WAY

Delightfully retro, there’s something so cozy about watching a movie at the drive-in. It takes you to a different decade and brings back some of that old-school romance. It is intimate, different, and makes you wanna make-out and fog-up the windows!

*BONUS TO INSERT INTO ANY DATE:

- Write each other a funny poem, draw sketches of one another, and exchange them both later on. That can be quite entertaining and brings quality time at no cost.

- Get your fortune told if you walk in front of such a place. That'll give you something to laugh and joke about in the future.
